Events Manager

Join Our Dynamic Team As An Events Manager!



Application Dates: May 13th to May 27th, 2024

Start Date: Flexible (end of May or early June preferred) 

Hourly Wage: $20-25 per hour, with potential bonuses based on event sales targets.

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, occasional Sunday events, 30 to 35 hours per week

Location: 11769 40th Street SE. Must have a driver's License for 5+ years

 


The Events Manager is an energetic, imaginative, and detail-oriented logistical ninja responsible for:

  • Developing and executing an events strategy to identify and secure event participation that drives strong returns.
  • Generating new business through phone and email outreach and nurturing existing client relationships. 
  • Maintaining and organizing event props, vehicles, and decor.
  • Master of logistics and efficiency. Ensuring impeccable timing for event set-ups, flawless flow of busy days, and efficient management of different teams.
  • Must be comfortable driving large vehicles with a clean driving history.

This individual should have experience in event planning, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a proven track record of flawlessly executing and organizing event logistics.


Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming event inquiries and provide service information and quotes to potential customers.
  • Make outbound sales calls/emails to potential and existing customers to generate new business based on events portfolio.
  • Drive sales automation related to responses, quoting, payment, etc., on the events side of the business.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute (as needed) our participation in events of various sizes and types, including corporate and customer events.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, event organizers, other vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful events.
  • Ensure event success by creating, managing, and reporting on budgets and sales projections to all parties involved to meet our minimum requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and effective handling of all event logistics.
  • Lead and train team members to meet and exceed expectations of professionalism and efficiency.
  • Attend and manage events on-site to ensure smooth execution and resolve any issues that may arise, including creating video content or supporting during off hours.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of events, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Undertaking other strategic projects as per management requirements on an as-needed basis provides ample opportunities for growth and learning.

 

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or a related field is ideal.
  • Proven experience (2 years minimum) in event planning and management, preferably within the food industry.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to overcome challenges and create memorable event experiences.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
  • You must have a valid driver's License for at least five years, a clean driving record, and be comfortable driving larger vehicles in city traffic.
