When One Letter Changes Everything

When One Letter Changes Everything

Some stories are too good not to tell.

This is one of them.

A customer reached out for custom candy bags with one very clear theme: pigs. It was a quick turnaround. We designed the bags, built the candy mix, and had everything ready to go. Piggy, playful, honestly… adorable.

All was well.

And then we received an email.

She didn’t mean pigs.
She meant pugs.

Which is hilarious.
And relatable.
And also one of those moments where you stop, blink twice, and reread the sentence just to be sure.

Autocorrect is ruthless. Typos happen. Voice-to-text cannot be trusted. We’ve all been there.

So we pivoted. Swiftly.

We reworked the design, gave her two new options, and this time, the realistic pugs won. Crisis averted, birthday saved, and no one accidentally showed up with a bunch of pigs to a pug party.

Honestly? A win for everyone.

Why this matters (beyond being funny)

Sure, the pigs vs. pugs mix-up gave us all a good laugh, but it also perfectly sums up how we approach custom orders. Things change. Details evolve. Sometimes one letter makes all the difference.

Our job isn’t just to assemble candy (though we do that very well). It’s about listening, adapting, and making sure the final product feels right for the person receiving it, especially if it means a last-minute pivot.

Because celebrations matter. And getting the details right matters.

Real people. Real moments. Real life happening in real time.
